- Export every stem from the same start point (the project’s 0:00) and with the same length: that keeps them aligned.
- 24-bit WAV is ideal. MixingMusic.AI also accepts MP3, FLAC, AAC and M4A.
- Remove limiters and maximizers from the Master: mastering happens afterwards, in MixingMusic.AI.
- No clipping and with headroom: no stem should reach 0 dBFS.
- The limit is 12 stems: group tracks (drums, backing vocals, layers) if you have more.

Frequently asked questions
Which DAWs does MixingMusic.AI work with?
Any: MixingMusic.AI works with the audio files you export. This page gathers the stem export guide for Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic Pro, GarageBand, Pro Tools, Cubase, Studio One, REAPER, Reason, Bitwig Studio, LUNA, Cakewalk Sonar, Digital Performer, Ardour, Mixcraft and Waveform.
What are stems and why do I need them?
They are your song’s tracks exported separately (drums, bass, vocals…). With them, MixingMusic.AI’s AI mixes each track by its instrument and you can fine-tune EQ, compression, reverb and delay one by one.
Does MixingMusic.AI replace my DAW?
No, it complements it. You produce and record in your DAW; once you have the tracks, you bring them to MixingMusic.AI to mix and master with AI in the browser.
What format and how many stems does it accept?
Up to 12 stems as WAV, MP3, FLAC, AAC or M4A. Ideally 24-bit WAV, all from the same start point and with no limiter on the master.
Can I use only mastering with my finished mix?
Yes. Export the stereo mix from your DAW and upload it to AI Mastering: you hear your mix with its real waveform, LUFS and VU, and compare the original with the master.
