Create an AI Song for Free: What You Get and the Real Limits

"Free" means very different things across AI music tools. Here is exactly what the free plan in MixingMusic includes, and how to get the most out of it.

What the free plan includes

• 1 AI song up to 2:30, created with the Suno V6 model. You receive two versions to choose from.
• The stem separation of that song: vocals, drums, bass, guitar, piano and other, as WAV files.
• 1 mix and 1 master in the studio, so you can finish the song.

You need a free account to generate. If the engine rejects a song (for example, because of copyrighted lyrics), it does not count against your free song.

How to make your one free song count

1. Write the lyrics yourself or edit the AI draft before generating. Lyrics are the part you will notice most if they are weak.
2. Be specific in the style. "Acoustic pop, warm female vocal, fingerpicked guitar, intimate" beats "pop song".
3. Keep it under 2:30 with a clear structure: intro, verse, chorus, verse, chorus, outro.
4. Choose the better of the two versions, then export the stems from that one.
5. Finish it. Use the free mix and master; a mastered song sounds much closer to a release.

What the free plan does not include

• Longer songs (up to 4:00 on paid plans).
• More than one song.
• Unlimited mixing and mastering.

When paying makes sense

If you plan to release music regularly, the one-time plans include songs: Unlimited (US$19.99) includes 50 and AI Advanced (US$79) includes 150, with no monthly subscription. Packs of 20 or 50 extra songs never expire.

A note on storage

Songs and recordings are kept for 30 days and stems for 7. Download your song and stems as soon as you are happy with them.
