Many artists use the AI version as a guide and then sing the song themselves. It keeps the arrangement and puts a real voice, yours, at the center.
1. Export the stems
Separate the song into stems. The vocal stem is the guide; the other five stems are your instrumental.
2. Learn the guide
Listen to the AI vocal with the instrumental. You can keep its melody or change it; it is your song now.
3. Record
- Mute the vocal stem (or keep it very low as a guide in your headphones).
- Record in a quiet room, close to the microphone, at a healthy level without clipping.
- Record two or three full takes; keep the best phrases.
4. Blend your voice
- A small low cut (below about 80–100 Hz) removes rumble.
- Gentle compression evens the level.
- A short reverb, similar to the space in the AI mix, makes your voice sit inside the song.
5. Master
Master the new mix. Your voice changes the balance of the song, so do not reuse the master of the AI version.
Note on separation
The instrumental stems may contain faint traces of the original vocal. Usually your recording masks them; if not, lower the stem where they are most audible.
