This is not a spec sheet. We do not have access to how Suno builds its models, and we will not guess. What we can describe is what working with Suno V6 looks like from the MixingMusic interface, based on how the integration behaves.
Style and lyrics stay separate
MixingMusic sends the style and the lyrics as separate fields (what the provider calls custom mode). In practice this means the words in your style description are not sung; they shape the sound. Put the words you want sung only in the lyrics.
Two versions per request
Every generation returns two versions. They share your inputs but can differ a lot in melody, arrangement and how the chorus lands. Treat them as two takes from the same session and pick the stronger one before you export stems.
Length
You choose a length between 1:00 and 4:00 (2:30 on the free plan). The model treats it as a target. If your lyrics are very long for the length you picked, expect sections to be compressed or dropped.
Working from audio
With a recording of your voice, two modes are available:
- Remix sends your recording as the source, keeping its melody, and applies your style.
- New in its style gives the model more freedom and uses your recording as inspiration.
If your recording has sung words and you leave the lyrics empty, MixingMusic transcribes them so the song keeps your words.
Rejections
The provider filters lyrics and audio that match protected songs. A rejected song is not deducted from your balance. The fix is almost always to use your own lyrics or your own recording.
Where you should step in
The model decides the mix. Typical things worth correcting afterwards:
- A vocal that sits too far back.
- Low end that is heavier than your genre usually is.
- A level that is lower or higher than other songs you will be compared with.
Stems plus a quick mix pass, then mastering, solve most of these.
Try it in MixingMusic
Create your song with the Suno V6 engine: 1 free song up to 2:30 with its stems, two versions of every song, and mixing and mastering in the same account. Songs and recordings are kept for 30 days and stems for 7 days, so download what you want to keep.
