An AI model will sing whatever you give it, but it sings some lyrics much better than others. These rules come from the same craft songwriters use, adjusted for an AI singer.
Keep lines singable
- Similar syllable counts in lines that share a melody. If line one has 8 syllables and line two has 16, the model has to cram or stretch.
- Short words at the end of lines. Long, technical words at the end of a phrase are where pronunciation most often slips.
- Read it out loud with a rhythm. If you stumble, the model probably will too.
Rhyme, but not at any cost
Rhymes help the ear follow the song, but forced rhymes make lyrics sound generated. Near rhymes (love / enough, corazón / razón) are fine. Meaning comes first.
Make the chorus the simplest part
The chorus is what people remember. Use fewer words, a clear image and repetition. Many great choruses repeat their main line two or three times.
Tell a story in the verses
Verses carry the details: a place, a time, an object. "The coffee went cold on the table" says more than "I feel so sad".
Language tips
- Spanish: watch stress. Words with unusual stress can be sung with the accent on the wrong syllable; prefer common words in key positions.
- English for non-native writers: keep grammar simple and idioms natural. When in doubt, shorter sentences.
- Mixing languages works in many genres (reggaeton, latin pop); keep each line in one language for clearer pronunciation.
Let the AI draft, then edit
If you leave the lyrics empty, MixingMusic writes a draft from your description. A good workflow is to generate once, copy the lyrics, rewrite the lines you do not like, and generate again with your edited version.
Avoid existing lyrics
Lyrics from published songs (even a few lines) are the most common reason a song gets rejected. Write your own.
